Classic of Canadian Modern Spaceage Design., Originally planned as a designed for display at Expo 1967 in Montreal, the piece did not actually go into production until 1968. Designed by R.S. Associates of Montreal the unique design and construction gives the appearance that the top is actually "floating", completely separate from the lower pedestal.
